![]() ![]() You will learn how to avoid all the different kinds of traps quickly. Be sure to also get the chests hidden in the trap hallways. You might start with 100-200, but by the end, you might be getting 1,200 a chest. The longer you stay in the maze, the more enemies you kill and chests you open, the more Echoes you get per chest. You really want to clear the entire maze if you can, because this is how you can farm between 7,000-10,000 Echoes per run. The big zones are dead-ends, so after you clear them, you simply go back and keep going around the loop and eventually you’ll get back to the main area. The way not to get lost is to remember which trap hallway you went through last, then do the opposite as you continue forward. One of them will originally hold a Valkyrie to fight, but after you beat her, it turns into a normal farming zone with tougher enemies. It’s really just one giant loop, with exceptions being two larger areas that are offshoots as you work your way around. Yes, the traps and the enemies change, but the structure itself does not change. It’s at this point you can make full runs of the entire maze, which you quickly learn…is not really a maze at all. Once you assemble the full Ivaldi’s armor set, you’ll be incredibly mist resistant and also be constantly regenerating health. I probably wouldn’t go for more than 2-3 zones until you get the full set, but after that? That’s when the real fun begins. The further you go, the more Echoes you get, the faster you can farm. It will take a little while to farm the echoes for these pieces, but once you start getting one or two, you should be able to venture out further into the maze. ![]() Since runic is overpowered in this game, I did that one, and I regret nothing. There are three versions of Ivaldi’s set you can farm, one focusing mostly on strength, one a balance of strength, defense and vitality, and one focusing mostly on runic. Both of these only cost 1,000 Echoes each, and it’s enough to get you started.Īfter this, you move on to the armor set. Next you should farm for the Grip of the Maze, and axe pommel which gives you natural mist resistance, and the ability to get mist time back per kill, though that does not trigger very often. It also gives you a burst of health, which is fairly significant. You should start with the Hevergelmir Stone, a Talisman you can activate to instantly restore some of the mist timer, like what happens when you open an Echoes chest. You’re going to need to start farming Mist Echoes for specific Mist-resisting items.
